Academic compliance refers to policies, procedures, and practices in place to ensure that actions regarding degree and certificate programs – from the content of the offerings, to how and where they are delivered – adhere to institutional, state, accreditation, and federal requirements and standards.

The full Review and Approval Process Matrix for all types of academic compliance actions - including new programs, changes to existing programs, and closures - can be downloaded below. Actions that may rise to the level of a substantive change (SC) and require approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) are denoted ‘YES IF SC.’
